In with the new year
First, from now on I will keep this blog in English. Not that I particularly like English or showing of my global citizenship. I am actually quite a lingual purist when it comes to my mother tongue. However there's no denying that we live in a globalised world. One of the direct consequences of this is that more and more of my friends are not Dutch or even live in Holland.
Second, funding for the magazine has dried up for now. This has lead me to not update this blog for a while, since there's no sence in keeping a blog on making a magazine when you are not actually making one (although I have not excluded the possibility for the long run). From now on this will just be about making MURW, whatever it will turn out to be, because there are indeed some interesting projects on the road a head.
Having said that, it is with mixed emotions that I look back on 2006. It was a turbulent year, and turbulence also tends to go hand in hand with ups and downs. In 2006 new ideas were born, old ones put on a shelve to collect dust others simply flung out of the window. Meanwhile I have had the pleasure of meeting some great people on the way that have both inspired and amused me.
So what do I wish for in the new year? I hope that 2007 will be filled with equally fantastic ideas of which at least some will reach maturity. I hope also to keep on meeting great people, even if it means running into a real aswhole from time to time and I wouldn't mind making a buck a long the way. That's why I say out with the old and in with the new. Have a blast in 2007 and don't forget to enjoy the little things while striving for the big ones.
